About the Centerville Bank Thompson Turkey Trot

The course runs on trails around the West Thompson Dam, so expect dirt underfoot and a natural setting rather than pavement. Costumes are encouraged, and plenty of runners show up in Thanksgiving gear, which gives the morning a loose, playful feeling. There is also a shorter walk option that welcomes leashed dogs.

Check-in opens well before the first start, with the walk going off before the run. Parking is at the Army Corps garage lot just before the dam overlook shelter, which serves as the main gathering area. Proceeds go toward local trails, parks, and a community food pantry.
