About the 4th Annual Center Cancer Awareness Walk
The route heads south along the Bridgehampton-Sag Harbor Turnpike, turns onto Montauk Highway, passes the local volunteer fire department, and loops back to where it started. It is a road walk with a clear sense of direction, organized by a community center that serves local children and families. A virtual participation option is also available for those who cannot make it in person.
The morning opens with registration before the walk begins, and there is a light breakfast to start the day. Afterward, community members share personal stories of survival and remembrance, and lunch is served back at the center. The funds raised go toward outreach and educational programming for families in the area.
