About the Cedar Flats Trail Trot
The course runs through Cedar Flats, a nonmotorized trail system in the Flathead National Forest just outside of Columbia Falls. The trails are described as flowy, and the route gains real elevation as it loops through the system, starting and finishing at the Cedar Ridge Trailhead. This is the first trail race ever held here, so the course itself is essentially untested by a race field.
Proceeds from the race support Gateway to Glacier Trails, the nonprofit that built and maintains the Cedar Flats trail system.
