About the 3rd Annual CCMSD Monster March 5K
This Halloween-themed race starts from a bank parking lot in Sundance and winds through a haunted trail section dressed up with spooky decorations and costumed characters along the way. The course is open to runners, walkers, strollers, and leashed pets, so the field tends to look as much like a Halloween parade as a race.
Costume contests are a real part of the morning, with categories for scariest, most creative, best couple, and best group. There is even a separate contest for pets in costume. Check-in opens well before the start, and bibs are handed out on-site. Proceeds go to an employee relations committee connected to the local school district.
