About the Cazenovia Preservation Foundation Turkey Trot
The course runs on the Gorge Trail, a gravel converted rail-trail, so the surface is firm and even underfoot. Both distances head out and come back on the same path, starting from the same spot. It is a Thanksgiving morning race, and costumes are part of the culture here. There is a canned food collection at the start for a local food pantry.
Parking is at an elementary school on Burton Street, a short walk from the trailhead. Bibs are picked up at a check-in table on race morning. There are no restroom facilities at the trailhead, so plan accordingly before you arrive. Dogs and strollers are not allowed on the trail while the race is running.
