Oakfield, NY
The course winds through the village, so the surroundings are residential and small-town rather than trail or track. It runs on a holiday morning, which means bundled-up crowds and a festive-adjacent energy, with a field that mixes people who run all year with people who come back once a year for exactly this. Proceeds support a local memorial foundation.
