About the Care4 Breast Cancer Hybrid 5K
The course runs entirely outside on the grounds of a high school, which also serves as the start and finish area. The race supports breast cancer education and screenings at a local clinic that serves uninsured adults in the area. Participants can run or walk the course in person, or complete the distance on their own wherever they happen to be.
Packet pickup happens on two separate Saturdays before race day at the clinic in Crystal Lake, which is where the benefiting organization is based. The organizers ask that participants carpool when possible. Everything on race morning, including any pre- and post-race activities, takes place outdoors.
