About the Canned Cranberry Sauce 10k
The course follows greenway paths through Latham Park and along Lake Daniel, out and back, so you turn around whenever you feel done. There is no official timing and no road closures, meaning you share the path with regular traffic signals along the way. It runs on Thanksgiving morning and asks for a canned or dry goods donation in place of an entry fee.
After finishing, there are homemade pumpkin cranberry chocolate chip pecan cookies baked by a regular in the running community. The donation goes to a local food ministry. Bring your contribution, run as far as you like, and eat a cookie.
