About the Candy Corn 5K
The course starts and ends at a church on the east side of Carmi. The route is a standard out-and-back style through the surrounding neighborhood streets, flat enough that most runners will be focused on pace rather than terrain. All proceeds go to a local nonprofit that supports children who have experienced abuse and their families.
Parking is in the church lot, which keeps everything contained to one spot. Age group awards are handed out shortly after the field finishes, with a hospitality tent set up right there at the church.

The Candy Corn 5K has been held every year since at least 2015. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
