About the Camy 5k Run & David 5k Walk
The race starts near the public library and is organized by the local Italian-American Club, which is also where everything wraps up afterward. The course is USATF certified. The event honors two members of the club who died in the same year, and several of the awards carry the names of family members, giving the whole morning a personal, memorial weight that most road races do not have.
Bib pickup is race morning only, at the club. Street parking is closed because part of the course runs through it, so plan to use the Knights of Columbus lot beside the club or the public lots near town hall and the town pool. Post-race, the club hosts food, raffles, and an awards ceremony, with proceeds going to the local food pantry and a few other community causes.
