About the Cabot's 4th Annual Turkey Trot
The course starts and finishes at the Allman Bevis Sports Complex, running a mostly flat route that is stroller- and wheelchair-friendly. There is no timing, so people genuinely do walk and stop and talk. A refreshment stop along the way breaks things up. A costume contest runs alongside the race, and donations collected benefit a local foster and adoptive family organization.
There is no entry fee, though the organizers ask participants to bring snacks, bottled water, or small gift cards to donate to the cause. Registration accepts monetary donations as well. Everything starts and ends at the sports complex, so parking and the start area are in the same place.
