About the Byesville Patriot 5K

The course starts at the fire station on Seneca Avenue, winds through downtown, passes an old elementary school building, and cuts through a village park and residential streets before looping past a veterans memorial in a cemetery. It finishes at Patriot Park, making it a true tour of the town rather than an out-and-back.

Race-morning packet pickup starts well before the gun at the start area, so there is no need to make a separate trip. The race is part of a larger downtown festival that weekend, with food vendors and other activity around, so the finish area has some life to it. Water and refreshments are at the finish line.
