About the Butler YMCA Turkey Trot
The course rolls out of downtown Butler from the YMCA building, heads to a local memorial park, and comes back the same way. It is not flat, but there are no brutal climbs either, just the kind of gentle up-and-down you find in older river towns. The out-and-back shape means you pass other runners on their return, which gives the morning a neighborly feel.
Registration and packet pickup open on race morning inside the YMCA, so you do not need to make a separate trip. Day-of payment is cash or check only, worth knowing before you arrive. Awards go deep into the age groups across both the overall and gender categories, so a lot of people leave with something to hang on the wall.
