About the Burrito Biathlon

The Burrito Biathlon is a food-themed running event where eating is part of the race itself. Runners stop mid-course for a burrito before finishing, so pace is only part of the equation. The event is part of a statewide series of food-themed races, and the burrito stop gives it a character that straight road races do not have.

Everything happens at Fireman's Park on race morning, including packet pickup, which opens before the start. Bring your registration email on your phone so the QR code can be scanned at check-in.

Common Questions About the Burrito Biathlon

Will I finish last at the Burrito Biathlon?

Almost certainly not. Half the 3.1 Miles field finished slower than 32:20, and the last recorded finisher came in around 53:46, so there is a long tail of runners behind the middle of the pack. Most fields are far slower than people expect.

Is the Burrito Biathlon a good first 3.1 Miles?

It is a small race (99 finishers), which is friendlier and less intimidating than a big-city event, though the field thins out. There is no qualifying time, and the finish-time spread above shows how varied the field really is. If it is your first 3.1 Miles, that spread matters more than the winner's time.

How competitive is the Burrito Biathlon?

The 3.1 Miles winner ran 19:00 while the median finisher took 32:20. That spread points to a mixed field, with a competitive front and a big recreational middle.
