About the Buffalo Trace Stampede
The course runs from the Mason County Public Library down to a fountain at Limestone Landing, dropping slightly after the start so legs turn over faster than expected. Chip timing keeps things honest. Cash awards go to anyone who breaks a course record, and there is a separate prize for the top first responder.
Packet pickup and check-in are near the finish line, not the start, so plan accordingly on race morning. After the race, a market is running in downtown Maysville, and there is a stick pony derby on a short stretch nearby for anyone who wants to stick around.

How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
