About the BRRC GPS Half Marathon
The course runs on the NCR Trail, a smooth, paved rail trail that passes through quiet woodlands north of Sparks Glencoe. The out-and-back route heads north from Sparks Road, turns around at Monkton Road, dips south toward Paper Mill Road, then comes back to finish where it started. It is flat throughout, with no real climbs to speak of.
Parking at the trailhead is tight, so most runners leave their cars at an old stone school building a short walk away and follow the road down to the start near the Sparks Nature Center. Registration opens on race morning. There are a few water stops along the way and snacks waiting at the finish. Prize money goes to the top overall finishers in each gender.
