About the Broomfield Turkey Day 5K/10K
The course runs clockwise around Broomfield Commons park on a mix of concrete and dirt trail. The route is essentially a loop around the park, and runners doing the longer distance go around twice, which means you will pass the water station and the finish area before you are done. The terrain is flat enough that the effort comes from pace, not elevation.
Packet pickup happens at a running store in Westminster the two evenings before the race, with race-morning pickup available if you cannot make those times. Parking throughout the park and surrounding neighborhoods is first come, first served, so arriving early is worth it. The race hosts a food drive for a local food pantry, and bringing several nonperishable items enters you in a raffle.
