About the 2027 Bridge and Dam

All distances start at the Bagnell Dam Scenic Overlook, with runners shuttled to the start line. The course runs along the Bagnell Dam Strip, a historic stretch that gives the race its name and puts the lake scenery right in front of you. The terrain is road running through a recognizable local landmark rather than a park or trail setting.

After finishing, the post-race party moves to Neon Taco, a nearby restaurant, where food and drink are available alongside the awards ceremony. Parking logistics are handled partly by the shuttle system, so arriving with extra time before the start is worth planning for.

Common Questions About the 2027 Bridge and Dam

Will I finish last at the 2027 Bridge and Dam?

Almost certainly not. Half the 3.1 Miles field finished slower than 41:41, and the last recorded finisher came in around 2:25:21, so there is a long tail of runners behind the middle of the pack. Most fields are far slower than people expect.

Is the 2027 Bridge and Dam a good first 3.1 Miles?

It is a small race (187 finishers), which is friendlier and less intimidating than a big-city event, though the field thins out. There is no qualifying time, and the finish-time spread above shows how varied the field really is. If it is your first 3.1 Miles, that spread matters more than the winner's time.

How competitive is the 2027 Bridge and Dam?

The 3.1 Miles winner ran 21:16 while the median finisher took 41:41. That spread points to a broad, mostly recreational field rather than a race dominated by club runners.
