About the Brant's Apple Orchard 5K Trail Race
The course winds through a working orchard, taking you past grapevines, apple and pear trees, and into the woods beyond. Expect constant elevation change rather than any flat stretches, a creek crossing or two, and enough twists through the trees to keep you honest. It is a genuinely demanding trail, even for experienced runners.
After the finish, there are apple cider donuts and fresh cider waiting, which is about as good as post-race food gets in the fall. Registration is online only, so plan ahead before showing up.
