About the BRAEMAR 2026 ANNUAL 5K TURKEY TROT

This is a neighborhood Turkey Trot rooted in the Braemar community, run each fall to benefit a local children's charity that supports medically fragile kids and their families. The cause gives the morning a particular weight, and runners in the area tend to know the story behind it.

Packet pickup happens on the two evenings before race day at a neighborhood address, and there is no race-morning option. If you cannot make either window, the organizers strongly encourage you to send someone in your place, because without your packet you cannot start.

Common Questions About the BRAEMAR 2026 ANNUAL 5K TURKEY TROT

Will I finish last at the BRAEMAR 2026 ANNUAL 5K TURKEY TROT?

Almost certainly not. Half the 3.1 Miles field finished slower than 35:12, and the last recorded finisher came in around 1:06:35, so there is a long tail of runners behind the middle of the pack. Most fields are far slower than people expect.

Is the BRAEMAR 2026 ANNUAL 5K TURKEY TROT a good first 3.1 Miles?

A field of 636 is big enough that you will have company at your pace without feeling lost in a crowd. There is no qualifying time, and the finish-time spread above shows how varied the field really is. If it is your first 3.1 Miles, that spread matters more than the winner's time.

How competitive is the BRAEMAR 2026 ANNUAL 5K TURKEY TROT?

The 3.1 Miles winner ran 15:44 while the median finisher took 35:12. That spread points to a broad, mostly recreational field rather than a race dominated by club runners.
