About the Bradenton Runners Club Turkey Trot 5K
The course runs through Robinson Preserve, a natural area on the northwest side of Bradenton. The terrain is flat and the surroundings are open preserve land, the kind of setting where you are more likely to hear birds than traffic on Thanksgiving morning. A shorter kids' route uses part of the same trail system, looping near the restrooms at the south entrance.
Packet pickup runs the two evenings before the race at a local running store on Cortez Road West, with race-morning pickup available at the preserve's south entrance starting an hour before the gun. Several parking areas serve the venue, and parking marshals are on hand to direct traffic. Charity donation tables for a local food bank and a shoe drive will be set up on race day.
