About the BRADASS 10k

The course runs through First Landing State Park, maritime forest and sandy trails close to the coast. The terrain is not pavement, and the trees keep things quiet in a way that feels right for a race held in someone's memory. It exists to honor Bradlee LaMontagne, a wrestler and Johns Hopkins student killed while traveling abroad, and to raise money for wrestling scholarships.

Packet pickup is held the evening before at a wrestling room in Virginia Beach. Parking for race day is at the Narrows, entered from the street-end entrance on the north side of the park. After the race, the gathering moves to a pizza and taphouse on Shore Drive.
