About the Bowdon Founders Day 5K

The course runs along Main Street through a small downtown that is already dressed for a street festival. There is a parade and vendors out the same morning, so the race finishes into something rather than into an empty parking lot. The route is certified, which draws people who are genuinely racing it, not just out for a morning jog.

Packet pickup the day before is at a local gym on City Hall Avenue. Same-day registration and the awards ceremony are held behind the municipal building. Chip timing puts results up live, so you can check your splits before you have even found your car.
