About the Boston Purple Pumpkin 5K and Walk
The course runs through Artesani Park, a riverfront green space in Brighton with paved paths and open ground. It is a lupus awareness event, so many people show up in purple, and the atmosphere reflects that: this is a cause-driven morning, with walkers and runners sharing the same route.
Participants can choose between the full course or a shorter walk, and the park setting keeps things accessible. There is no separate corral or wave system described, so runners and walkers tend to start together. The start area doubles as registration, which opens before the event kicks off.
