About the Boots and Blooms 5K

The course runs through Martin Marietta Park on an improved gravel trail with very little elevation change, so the footing is steady and the pace is mostly yours to set. The route follows the Dragonfly trail and connects to adjacent paths through the park. There is light refreshments at the finish area after you come through.

The race benefits the Boots and Blooms Foundation, which supports bereaved families who have lost a child. The in-person and virtual options both draw people who are there to walk, run, or push a stroller, and the morning carries the weight of that purpose.
