About the Boos & Brews 5K (Syracuse)

The course heads out along the Seneca River on a mix of road, paved path, and wooded trail before looping through Lions Community Park and returning. The terrain is flat throughout, and the wooded stretch gives it a genuinely autumnal feel, which suits the Halloween theme well. Costumes are encouraged but not required.

Packet pickup runs the evening before at a location in Syracuse, with race-morning pickup available at the start. The post-race party is at WT Brews, right at the race site, with beer specials, homemade Halloween cookies, and a dish they call Ghoulash. There is also a costume contest with prizes for several categories.
