About the Boombox Miles 5k & 10k
This is a women's only road race in Fort Worth, with distance options for adults and a shorter out-and-back fun run for kids. The throwback theme runs through the whole morning: expect retro outfits, glitter stations, bib bedazzling, temporary tattoos, and music. Local vendors set up on site, and the atmosphere leans more toward a celebration than a time trial.
Packet pickup is available the evening before, with race-morning check-in as well. The start area has a full schedule of announcements and a national anthem before the waves go off. Awards are handed out on site after the race wraps, so plan to stay a bit if you are in contention for your age group.
