About the Bookin’ It 5K

The course runs through Sandy Creek Park, a wooded park setting on the edge of Athens. The race benefits the local public library, and runners are encouraged to come dressed as a book character, so the start line tends to look a little theatrical. There is a shorter fun run option alongside the main distance, making it a common choice for families running together.
