About the Booby Bolt 5k & Kids 1 Mile Fun Run
The Booby Bolt raises money for a local nonprofit that helps breast cancer patients in the area cover costs during treatment. That purpose is present on race day: there is a survivor recognition walk before the 5k goes off, which sets a tone you notice. The kids fun run goes first, so families are already out and moving when the main race starts.
