About the Boo the Stigma 5K
The course runs on the cross country trail at a local middle school, so the terrain is grassy and unpaved, the kind of surface that slows you down a little and keeps the whole thing casual. The race raises awareness for mental health, and booths from local mental health providers are set up so you can learn what resources exist in the area.
Packet pickup starts before the race on the morning of the event. Stick around after you finish: there are food trucks, trick-or-treating, a costume contest, and a raffle, so it turns into more of a morning out than a quick run and go.
