The race is named for Bob Schul, a distance runner the local community has clearly held in high regard for a long time. It takes place at the Milton-Union Lowry Complex, which gives the course a track and field setting rather than a road or trail feel. The event has been running long enough that it draws competitors who remember coming here years ago.
