About the Blue Ridge Freedom 5K

The course runs through downtown Blue Ridge, starting and finishing on East Main Street between two neighboring businesses. The area is walkable and flat, which makes it a reasonable spot for strollers and dogs, both of which are welcome at the back. Runners who dress in red, white, and blue are in the running for a spirited costume award.

Packet pickup happens at Angry Hops Brewing on East Main Street, with options the couple of evenings before the race and again on race morning. Early pickup is strongly encouraged. After the race, mimosas and bloody Marys are available next door, and the brewery opens up for anyone who wants a beer.
