About the Blue Lobster 4-Miler
The course runs out and back on the Eastern Trail, a path that keeps you away from road traffic and gives you a clean, runnable surface. The terrain is mostly flat, so the effort comes from pace rather than climb. It starts at the elementary school on Alewive Road, and the out-and-back shape means you pass other runners on the return.
Post-race food comes from Duffy's Tavern. There are cash prizes for the overall winners and age group awards as well, which draws a range of competitive runners alongside those just looking for a solid morning out.
