About the Blackhawk Blaze
The course runs through French's Ledges, a trail system the town has used for years. Expect roots, rocks, and the uneven footing that real trail running asks of you. The fun run and the main race both start from the school grounds, so the whole morning is anchored there.
Proceeds go to the school's PTA and an outgoing class, so the post-race crowd tends to be neighbors and families connected to the school. Parking and the start area are right on campus, which keeps the logistics simple.
