About the Black & Yellow 5K
The course runs through the Southern Regional campus in Manahawkin, which gives it a familiar, neighborhood feel rather than a road-race grind. The terrain is the kind you find on school grounds, open and mostly flat, and the route stays close to where everyone starts.
Parking is at the high school on Cedar Bridge Road, with the start village a short walk across the street at the middle school. Packet pickup runs the morning before the race and again at the start village on race day. A guided warm-up is led by instructors from a local fitness studio before the gun, and coffee and post-race snacks are available at the finish.
