About the Bishop Ranch Turkey Trot
The course runs from the square at City Center Bishop Ranch out to a regional trail, winds through the property's gardens, and loops around a lake. The surface mixes pavement with packed dirt, and the route stays flat throughout. When rain makes the lakeside paths muddy, organizers switch to an alternate route and notify runners ahead of time.
Packet pickup happens on the two weekdays before the race, with race-morning pickup available at the start as a backup, though the organizers are candid that mornings get hectic. Parking in the City Center lot is free. After finishing, there is yogurt, fruit, and snacks in the square for runners and their families.
