About the Big Rex's Bottle Rocket 5K
The course starts at the City Building and finishes inside Piddle Park, so the two ends of the race are different places. That point-to-point shape gives the morning a bit of momentum. The route is in Dry Ridge, run in cooperation with the city, and the kids fun run follows the same general setup on a shorter course.
After the race, the park fills out with food and drink vendors and live music from a local recording artist. The post-race scene is the kind of thing worth sticking around for, especially if you brought a lawn chair.
