About the Big Fat Greek 5K
The course starts and finishes at a Greek Orthodox church on the north side of Valparaiso. The race is organized by the church community, so the atmosphere around the start and finish reflects that, with parishioners and volunteers out in force. After you cross the finish, there is a soup and Greek food sale right there on site.
Packet pickup runs the day before at a local fitness shop in town, with race-morning registration available as well. The start area is the church parking lot and grounds, so there is a natural gathering place before the gun goes off.
