About the Big Bad Wolfe Run

The Big Bad Wolfe Run follows a paved trail along Alum Creek, so the surface is smooth the whole way. Despite the name, this is not a trail race. The course is flat and suited to anyone building toward a fall marathon or just seeing where their summer training landed them. Several distance options make it easy to bring people at different points in their running.

The race sells out before race day most years, so registration fills early. Bib transfers are allowed up through the day before packet pickup, but they have to go through the official registration system. The organizers are specific about this because scammers have targeted the waitlist in the past.
