About the BHM26.2 2026 The Alabama Race Series
The course loops through Hoover's city streets and neighborhoods, passing a waterfront stretch before returning to the finish. It is not flat throughout: rolling hills break up the route, and the terrain keeps you honest without any single punishing climb. Several distance options are available, from a kids' run up through a full marathon, including a team relay format for groups.
Packet pickup is the day before at the Finley Center, where local vendors and race sponsors also set up. After the race, the finish line leads directly into a post-race party at the same venue, with food, live music, and a kids' zone. The race benefits Magic Moments, a wish-granting organization for children in Alabama facing serious illness.
