About the BHI 2nd Annual 5K & Fun Run
The course stays entirely on Black Hammock Island, starting and finishing at the community center there. It reads like a neighborhood race, the kind where the surroundings are part of the point. The island setting keeps things shaded and close to the water, and the route does not wander far from home base.
Packet pickup opens on race morning at the community center before the start, so there is no need to make a separate trip the day before. After finishing, there is a back-to-school bash on site.
