About the Beulah Firecracker 5K
The course leaves town and heads out through rolling terrain, mixing dirt two-track with a stretch through forest that drops downhill before turning back toward Beulah. It finishes on a gravel trail along the Betsie Valley, with Crystal Lake visible as you come in. The terrain underfoot changes a few times, so expect variety rather than a smooth surface throughout.
Packet pickup runs the evening before at the pavilion in Beulah, with race-morning pickup available as well. Awards are handed out after a separate fun run that follows the main race, so there is reason to stick around after you finish.

The Beulah Firecracker 5K has been held every year since at least 2018. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
