About the Bergholz 5K
The course runs through the residential streets of the Bergholz neighborhood, which has some history behind it. The road surface is typical pavement, and the route stays in the neighborhood the whole way, so it reads as a straightforward out-and-back or loop through quiet streets rather than anything technical or trail-adjacent.
Packet pickup runs the evening before the race at the school on Luther Street, with race-morning registration also available up until a bit before the start. After the race, the finish area on the school campus turns into an Oktoberfest spread, with soft pretzels, bratwurst, sauerkraut, and hot dogs among the options.
