About the Bee Brave 5K
The course runs partly on open road and partly on gravel and cross-country terrain, so expect some uneven ground underfoot. Strollers and leashed dogs are both welcome, which shapes the feel of the morning. The race is held at Shagbark Farms, a property set along a rural road outside Caledonia.
Alaska Avenue closes shortly before the start, so arriving early matters. The race supports breast cancer research through Van Andel Institute, with all registration fees going directly to that fund and the event run entirely by volunteers.

The Bee Brave 5K has been held every year since at least 2021. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
