About the Beckley Half Marathon & 5K
The race starts and finishes at the Beckley Exhibition Coal Mine, a preserved historic coal camp with original buildings and period equipment. Half marathon runners head out along a rail trail, loop through uptown, and return along the trail to the mine. The 5K runs a simpler out-and-back from the same starting point.
Bean soup, cornbread, and pepperoni rolls are at the finish. The organizer sends a pre-race email with logistics, so keep an eye out for it the week before.
