About the Beaumont Santa Dash
The route follows Beaumont's Christmas Light Parade path through downtown streets, so when the dash finishes, the floats and lights come through right behind the runners. Costumes are the whole point here: Santa suits, elf ears, ugly sweaters, reindeer antlers. Speed is beside the point. The crowd is mostly people who showed up in holiday gear ready to kick off a parade.
Packet pickup runs through the week before at the Community Recreation Center, with options on race day at a nearby market and again at the start area in the final minutes before the dash. The start is at the corner of Beaumont Avenue and the cross street where the parade launches.
