About the BEAR CHASE
Both distances start at a point away from the school and finish in front of Bertha-Hewitt High School, with a shuttle bus carrying runners out to the start line. The shorter course is paved and flat; the longer one rolls a bit through the surrounding area. Awards, trophies, and door prizes all happen together after the final race wraps up.
Race-day registration closes well before the first start, so plan to be at the school early. The shuttle leaves before the gun, and missing it means missing the start.
