About the BE FAST 5k Run & 1 Mile Walk
The course starts at Promenade Park in downtown Toledo and runs along the Maumee River, crosses the Cherry Street Bridge, and passes through Glass City Metropark before looping back. It is a road course with one bridge crossing as the only real change in elevation. The race benefits a stroke patient assistance fund, and stroke survivors run free.
Packet pickup runs the evening before the race at a neuroscience center on Central Ave, with a second option at a conference center in Perrysburg. You can also pick up on race morning. Parking is in the garage next to Promenade Park, with reserved accessible spots on the first floor for stroke survivors. There is food, a resource fair, and free stroke risk screenings at the finish.

Finish-Time Stats
Going by the 2025 results, this is a small, friendly field, and the spread of finish times is wide, so this is a mostly recreational race rather than one for club runners.

The BE FAST 5k Run & 1 Mile Walk has been held every year since at least 2017. That is as far back as RunSignup's records for this race go, so it may well be older.
How we calculate these stats: RunSesh calculates these figures from the most recent published results of past editions, sourced from RunSignup. We show aggregates only: field size, winning and median times, and the cutoff. We never publish individual finisher tables. Last updated Jul 27, 2026.
