About the Bampa's House 5K Run/Walk
The course runs along the Painted Post Trail and through the streets of the neighborhood where the race's namesake lived, so there is a real sense of place to it. Craig Park is the start and finish, with the trail mixing in alongside street sections for varied footing. The race benefits a local end-of-life care home, and that purpose is close to the surface on race morning.
Packet pickup and same-day registration happen under the park pavilion before the start. Awards follow within an hour of the finish, so you are not standing around long if you want to stay for them.
