About the Bad to the Bone 5K
The course starts and finishes at Bonesaw Brewing Co., so the post-race destination is right there when you cross the line. It is a road race, and the area around the brewery is flat enough that this reads as a fast morning out and back to a pint. A charity component supports the HEADstrong Foundation, which gives the whole event a bit of weight beyond the beer.
Packet pickup runs race morning at a tent on site, and the driveway closes shortly before the gun, so arriving early matters. Parking is tight; carpooling is the move, with overflow available on a nearby street. After the race, a wood-fired pizza food truck pulls up and a live musician plays through the post-race party at the brewery.
